Searching for Shaniqua explores the stereotypes, perceptions and history behind so-called "ghetto," unique and "ethnic" names.
The film premiered at the 2016 Martha's Vineyard African-American Film Festival where it won the HBO Best Documentary Award. It then went on to screen to enthusiastic audiences in New York, Atlanta, and D.C among others.
